The Thai government announced on 24 April an automatic extension of the right of residence within the kingdom until 31 July 2020.
In the context of the Covid-19 crisis, foreigners currently staying in Thailand under any non-immigrant visa, a visa exemption, or Visa on arrival automatically has the authorization to stay in Thailand until July 31. However, their situation will have to be rectified at the end of this 3-month period.
CAUTION: For non-Immigrant visas B, O, OA requiring an annual renewal, you must renew before its expiry. This exemption only applies to visas that do not need to be renewed.
